Description

Penca is the word for a hanging bunch, the way bananas are sold whole at Brazilian markets: strung, weighted, carried home by the stem.

Each banana here is carved from wood by hand, then painted and knotted onto a braided cord with wooden beads marking its length. No two carvings match exactly. The blade leaves its own trace in every curve.

Use Instructions

Hang from a single nail or hook at the top loop. Let it hang freely; it will settle and move slightly with nearby motion.

Warning

Keep out of direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent fading. Dust gently with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid water or damp cloths, as the painted finish may be affected by moisture. Not a toy; keep away from small children due to small carved parts on cord.
